Since our humble beginnings in 1981, we've become a true community center that prioritizes access and understanding of Lake Minnetonka through the sport of sailing.

Since then we've grown from a small group of families to over 1200 yearly participants, from 61 cities in Minnesota alone. Our adaptive, outreach, and community partnerships ensure that everyone has not only access to try sailing - but to continue sailing - on Minnesota's greatest resource. 

Wayzata Sailing is one of just 35 US Sailing Accredited Community Sailing Centers in the United States, is Minnesota's hub for instructor certification, and continues to create new opportunities in STEM and sailing progression.
