Join us by the lake for a 4 part art class series right here at Wayzata Sailing. February-March 2024 on Saturdays from 9 am-12 pm come learn, create, and explore different mediums. All ages are welcome so bring the whole family!
February 17 - Linocut printmaking (class size: 25)
-$20 per person
-Description: Join us to learn about the art of printmaking! Create your own linocut prints! Carve your design into a sheet of linoleum and create endless copies of your design! Have little ones who might have trouble with the sharp cutting tools? - Have them practice with foam sheets and dull objects to carve in their designs and make prints the same way!
February 24- Paint with Crabby Abby (class size 15)
-$40 per painting
-Description: Join Chicago artist Abby May Smith in a guided paint-with-me event! Bring the family to paint a beautiful landscape of Lake Minnetonka. March 2- Cyanotype (class size 25)

-Description: Science, photography, and the great outdoors! In this class, we will use the sun and found objects to create amazing designs on paper and fabric using the art of cyanotype, a UV-developed imaging technique.
March 9- Mail Art (class size 25+)
-$10 per person
-Description: Mail art is an artistic movement started in the 1960s, using the United States Postal Service to distribute and exchange small-scale art. In this class, we will go over a brief history of mail art and create personalized postcards ready to send to your loved ones. The possibilities are endless.
