What will my student learn?
This camp will gather together on Monday evenings through the winter with the goal of developing an understanding of Scratch, the computational thinking and problem solving skills required, and aim to complete a sailing related Scratch project of their own. We plan to expand beyond the modules normally introduced in school through our unique blend of hands on and small classes. Maximizing fun, time on task, and learning.
What is Scratch?
With Scratch, you can program your own interactive stories, games, and animations — and share your creations with others in the online community. Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab. It is provided free of charge. You can check out Scratch at https://scratch.mit.edu/
